Nor is the Java client

I don't see really any benefit of putting more functionality into the Notes Client. All customers demand web applications, and basically Notes Designer (and of course Domino) is the main product of IBM Lotus. The Notes Client is merely just a data viewer and debugging machine. If this Java madness doesn't stop soon, I will start to code my own database (Damien Katz did it already) and/or move to PostgreSQL. Why did millions of people develop and improve C++ to be the fastest and machine code nearest cross-platform high level language, for sure not that some Sun Java would give a s**t about performance and machine code optimizations and be concurring with it. You can put your Java in installers and other rarely used apps if you don't care about quality and performance and efficiency, and just want to develop cheap, but please don't put it in production tools which are used daily and more frequently.

Ugh, I have spoken. Was about time to vent this off :)
